Sheehan Receives The San Antonio Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Honor
Ty Hunter Sheehan, an HF&G Shareholder, has been selected by the San Antonio Business Journal for one of San Antonio’s 40 Under 40 Awards.
According to their website, “the San Antonio Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 awards are presented to young professionals under 40 years of age who have demonstrated excellence in business, leadership and community involvement. We’re looking for men and women across all industries who have demonstrated success over the past 12 months.”
This year’s recipients will be recognized at a dinner event Feb. 22 at Pearl Stable. During the event, the Business Journal will announce the 40 Under 40 Man of the Year and Woman of the year, who will be chosen by the judges in a secret ballot.
Ty represents companies, partnerships and individuals in business, commercial real estate and securities transactions. He is currently a director of and the Treasurer of the San Antonio Bar Association, the San Antonio Bar Foundation and the Community Justice Program. In 2017, Ty was selected as a member of the San Antonio Bar Foundation Fellows Program and appointed to the Board of Directors of SA2020. Mr. Sheehan has also been a long-time member of the Witte Society Steering Committee for the Witte Museum, and is currently a member of the museum’s Quillin Society. Ty is a former President of the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association. He was also a founding member of the Young Texans Against Cancer San Antonio Chapter, serving as a board member for three years. He also supports the San Antonio Library as a member of the First Edition Society of the San Antonio Library Foundation and supports the San Antonio Zoo as a member of the Zoomers, a young professionals membership organization.
