Attorneys Named “Super Lawyers”

Super Lawyers magazine, a joint publication of Thomson Reuters and Texas Monthly, named two of our attorneys as “Super Lawyers” in the 2012 edition. Charles M. “Boxy” Hornberger (Estate Planning & Probate) and Rudy A. Garza (Estate & Trust Litigation) were two of only 275 San Antonio area attorneys to earn this designation.

According to the publication, “Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a rigorous, multistage process in which peer nominations and evaluations are combined with our independent research.” In fact, the process involves four steps: nomination by peers, evaluations by researchers of 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, peer evaluations by practice area, and a final selection based on rankings with firm size groups. “The end result,” says Julie Gleason, Director of Research for Super Lawyers, “is the names of those attorneys who’ve demonstrated excellence in practice.”
